Taking a Closer Look
This painting was inspired by a fallen butterfly that I found while walking around Cloudcroft, New Mexico. I wanted to approach this painting as an abstract and decided to focus on the shapes, movement, and transparancy of the butterfly wing using colors that excited. Painting allows me to press the PAUSE button and really enjoy all of the beauty that is around me. What a gift it is to have time to paint.
